Weekends were meant for embarking on escapades that replenish the soul. Whether it’s going for a hike in the lower Hudson New York region or spending a weekend on the open road with a destination to nowhere, I’m happiest when I can take a step back from the workweek and appreciate the bigger picture of life. One of my favorite places to unwind is Vermont — I’m instantly in a better mood when I cross the state line and am greeted by the scent of pine trees.
Of course, experiences are nothing without those closest to you by your side. Friendly bowling competitions downtown and nights at the theater with friends are always fun. I love trying different ethnic foods and I have a pretty adventurous palate… though I may not say yes if something’s moving or bleeding (hey, we all have limits!). But if I’m craving a solo night in, I’m content watching a black and white suspense filled movie with kettle-popped popcorn and flavored seltzer water or unwinding to one my many Kindle books.
My match would be a vibrant, communicative woman who’s equally passionate about life and learning about the world around her. She’d also be spiritually open with a positive outlook, similarly adventurous when it comes to food. Comfortable in her own skin, she wouldn’t turn down an impromptu dance or mind my (sometimes) corny sense of humor. A fellow active soul is a plus.
